The ninth edition of the popular reality TV show, Big Brother Naija (BBNaija), commenced on Sunday night, introducing 14 pairs of 28 housemates who are set to entertain viewers for the next 71 days.
Among the first set of housemates to enter the house were Chinwe and Zion, known collectively as Zinwe, followed by Sooj and Topher, DJ Flow and Ruthie, and Chinne and Nne, a niece and aunt duo known as Ndi Nne. Other pairs include Femi and Michky (Radicals), Shaun and Victoria (Shatoria), and identical twins Wanni and Handi, who are DJs from Kaduna State.
Additional housemates include Ben and Tjay (Betta), Toby Forge and Mayor Frosh (Streeze), Kassia and Kelkyrae, Chizuba and Onyeka, and Neita and Damilola, known as Tami. This season features four sets of identical twins, including the Mbadiwe twins and the DJ twins from Kaduna, Wanni and Handi.
The housemates are full of energy, promising a season filled with drama and entertainment. Themed “No Loose Guard,” this year’s show is designed to keep viewers on the edge of their seats for the next 10 weeks.
According to the organizers, BBNaija 2024 promises to be even bigger and better than previous seasons, with several exciting twists and turns. Highlights to look out for include the house, voting power, the housemates, and other surprises.
The housemates will face the challenge of remaining in the house for 72 days, competing for a grand prize of N100 million, which includes a cash prize and an SUV. Additional sponsored prizes will be announced later by the organizers.
