Famed American singer, Beyoncé Knowles-Carter, has opened up about her relationship with fame, describing it as something that can feel like a prison at times. In a recent interview with *GQ*, the 43-year-old icon shared that she now creates music at her own pace, focusing on innovation rather than perfection.
Beyoncé emphasized that when she isn’t in the public eye, it’s because she is prioritizing her art and personal well-being. “I create at my own pace, on things that I hope will touch other people,” she said. “It is fame that can at times feel like prison. So, when you don’t see me on red carpets, and when I disappear until I have art to share, that’s why.”
Reflecting on her career and future projects, Beyoncé said she’s committed to evolving and pushing boundaries. Despite being asked about retirement plans, she affirmed, “Good music and strong messages will never retire.”
