Bianca Ojukwu Takes Office as Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Pledges Commitment to Diaspora Rights

Ambassador Bianca Ojukwu officially assumed her role as Minister of State for Foreign Affairs following her swearing-in ceremony conducted by President Bola Tinubu.

On arrival at the Ministry’s headquarters, Tafawa Balewa House in Abuja, she was warmly welcomed by the Permanent Secretary, Dunoma Ahmed, along with directors from various departments. They guided the new minister to her office, where she addressed the press on her commitment to supporting President Tinubu’s “4Ds” foreign policy agenda.

Describing her appointment as a “homecoming” or “second missionary journey,” Ojukwu noted her longstanding connection with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and expressed her enthusiasm for returning. She pledged to work closely with the Minister, Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar, in safeguarding the rights of Nigerians living abroad and advancing the foreign policy goals of the administration.
