Bishop David Oyedepo Celebrates 70th Birthday Amidst Dignitaries and Well-Wishers

Bishop David Oyedepo, founder of Living Faith Church Worldwide, celebrated his 70th birthday on September 27, surrounded by dignitaries, prominent clerics, friends, and family members at the church’s headquarters in Ota, Ogun State. The auditorium was filled to capacity as guests donned white and blue attire to honor the esteemed cleric.

Prior to his birthday, Oyedepo had requested his congregation to focus on soul-winning as gifts for his milestone celebration. However, he was also presented with several extravagant gifts, including a luxurious Rolls Royce Cullinan and a generous donation of N1 billion aimed at feeding 50,000 people at Canaanland.

President Bola Tinubu praised Oyedepo for his significant contributions to leadership development, education, health, and entrepreneurship during his tenure as a cleric.

As the festivities unfolded, the celebrant was seen joyfully dancing to the music of gospel artists Adeyinka Alaseyori and Nathaniel Bassey. In his address, Oyedepo expressed gratitude, stating, “I give glory to God. I am a representative of the icon of icons, who is Jesus; my glory and lifter of my head. A man cannot be any more than the grace of God at work in him. I will never pose to be an achiever but one who is a beneficiary of God’s grace.”

His wife also shared her pride in being his partner, expressing a heartfelt wish to have a mansion beside his in heaven.

Notable guests at the event included former President Olusegun Obasanjo, Lagos Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Ogun Governor Dapo Abiodun, and Delta Governor Sheriff Oborevwori. Also present were Inspector General of Police Kayode Egbetokun and prominent clerics such as Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, along with other renowned ministers like Poju Oyemade, Jerry Eze, and Matthew Ashimolowo.
