Blackface Calls for Reunion of Plantashun Boiz, Appeals to 2Baba and Faze

Nigerian singer Augustine Amedu Obiabo, popularly known as Blackface, has made a public appeal for the reunion of the iconic music group Plantashun Boiz. The group, which originally consisted of Blackface, 2Baba (formerly 2Face), and Faze, was a significant force in the Nigerian music scene before their split in 2004.

Taking to his Instagram page, the “Hard Life” singer urged his former bandmates to join forces once again, emphasizing the power of unity. He also called on fans to support his plea for a reunion, stressing that their collaboration could contribute to a larger mission of promoting world peace.

“Plantashun Boiz, the question now is to be or not to be and why?” Blackface wrote, tagging 2Baba and Faze in his post. “My people, oya make una talk put mouth for this matter! We are on a mission for world peace and it’s not a small thing! Unity is strength and not division. Let’s go champs.”

Plantashun Boiz, known for hits like “Don’t You Know” and “Knock Me Off,” originally split in 2004 after releasing their second album, *Sold Out*. The trio briefly reunited in 2007 for a third album, *Plan B*, before parting ways once again.

Fans of the group have long hoped for a reunion, and Blackface’s recent call to action has reignited those hopes. Whether 2Baba and Faze will respond positively remains to be seen, but the prospect of the group’s comeback has certainly sparked excitement among their supporters.
