The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has officially launched its newly redesigned website, which became operational on Monday.
In a statement signed by the Acting Director of Corporate Communications, Sidi Ali, the bank announced that the updated platform introduces a contemporary Web API built on Microsoft .NET Core 8, the latest stable release. The system is designed to enhance user experience by simplifying navigation and increasing speed.
According to the statement, the front-end design and back-end technology of the website were developed entirely in-house. The new site offers a broader range of content about the bank’s mandate and is fully responsive to mobile devices, ensuring seamless navigation across multiple web browsers and platforms.
At a recent special summit dinner during the 30th Nigerian Economic Summit, CBN Governor Olayemi Cardoso highlighted the website’s revamp as part of the bank’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and accessibility.
“The new website provides a more user-friendly experience and better access to information. This aligns with our efforts to bring the Central Bank’s activities closer to the people, allowing stakeholders to track our progress and understand our objectives,” Cardoso stated.
He added that the overhaul underscores the CBN’s dedication to improving information dissemination, building trust, and fostering openness in its operations.
The revamped platform reflects the bank’s ongoing effort to modernize and align its digital presence with global best practices, ensuring better engagement with the public and stakeholders.
