Chidinma Adetshina Crowned Miss Universe Nigeria 2024 After Withdrawing from Miss South Africa Pageant

Chidinma Adetshina, the 23-year-old who recently withdrew from the Miss South Africa 2024 pageant following a social media uproar regarding her nationality, has been crowned Miss Universe Nigeria 2024. Representing Taraba State, Chidinma triumphed over four other finalists—Miss Rivers State, Miss Anambra State, Miss Ondo State, and Miss Edo State—to win the prestigious title.

Chidinma will now represent Nigeria at the Miss Universe pageant in Mexico this November. The first runner-up, Miss Anambra, will participate in the Miss Supranational pageant.

In addition to the title, Chidinma was awarded a grand prize of N10 million. In her acceptance speech, the new beauty queen described her victory as a “call to action,” signaling her commitment to using her platform for positive impact.
