Dr. Jude Nnam, a renowned Christian music composer and National Music Director for the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), has been released from captivity nearly a week after being kidnapped in Anambra State.
Nnam was abducted last Thursday evening around 6 p.m. in Umunnachi while attending a church function. He regained his freedom on Wednesday, bringing relief to his family and the Christian community.
The family announced his release on a Facebook page linked to the musician, stating, “The victory sound is here. Our dear ‘Ancestor’ Dr. (Sir) Jude Nnam is back to continue the work of the Lord!”
Earlier reports of his release, which circulated on social media, were debunked by the family, who had called such claims false and misleading.
Dr. Nnam, fondly referred to as “Ancestor” by his followers, is also a member of the National Liturgical Commission of the Catholic Secretariat of Nigeria (CSN). His release has been met with widespread joy and gratitude within the Christian community.
