DJ Cuppy Makes History as First Nigerian to Host Opening Session at UN General Assembly

Florence Otedola, popularly known as DJ Cuppy, has made history by becoming the first Nigerian to host an opening session at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA). Cuppy moderated the Youth Action Day at the 2024 UNGA, themed “The Summit of the Future – Youth Actions Day.”

Following her keynote address, she captivated attendees with a musical performance, marking the event as the largest youth gathering in UN Headquarters history. Notable figures present included the UN Assistant Secretary-General for Youth Affairs and the President of Cape Verde, José Maria Neves. Cuppy’s achievements highlight the growing influence of young leaders on global platforms.
