Edo State Deputy Governor, Dennis Idahosa, has fulfilled his promise of N1.5 million to Bendel Insurance FC following their impressive 3-1 victory over Kwara United in a Matchday 13 fixture at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin City, on Sunday.
Idahosa, who was pleased with the team’s performance, pledged the financial reward to encourage the players and boost their morale ahead of their upcoming midweek clash with Nasarawa United. He expressed his satisfaction with the win and emphasized the importance of supporting the team for continued success.
“I’m impressed with the performance of our team,” Idahosa said in an interview with Bendel Insurance media. “We will see how we can encourage the team to improve. We are going to do all that is necessary and give all that it takes to support the club to get to the next level of progress. Bendel Insurance is our own, and we will encourage them. We are getting to the top again.”
Bendel Insurance is set to face Nasarawa United in their next fixture on Wednesday, and the reward from the Deputy Governor is expected to serve as a motivational boost for the team.
