Nigerian champions, Edo Queens, have bolstered their squad by signing 14 new players in preparation for the CAF Women’s Champions League qualifier. Moses Adukwu’s team has been training in Uzuaire, Edo State, gearing up for the competition.
The newly signed players will join the squad as Edo Queens face Omnisports Etincelle FC of Burkina Faso, Ghana’s Hassacas Ladies, and AS Garde Nationale of Niger in Group B. Their opening match is against Etincelle on Sunday, August 11, followed by a game against Hassacas Ladies three days later. They will conclude the group stage against AS Garde on Saturday, August 17.
All group matches will be held at the Champroux Stadium. The competition will take place in Cote d’Ivoire from August 10 to 23, 2024.
