In a statement released on its X page, the commission reported that the arrests were made during a predawn sting operation at the Ipent 7 Estate in Gwarimpa, Abuja. The operation followed intelligence gathering and surveillance on the suspects’ alleged fraudulent activities within the estate.

During the operation, the EFCC recovered several luxury vehicles, including a white Toyota Hilux, an ash-coloured 2014 Mercedes Benz GLK 350, and a white 2017 Mercedes Benz GLE 43 AMG, from the suspects.

The anti-graft agency stated that the suspects would be charged in court upon the conclusion of the investigations.
