El-Kanemi Warriors were eliminated from the CAF Confederation Cup after a 2-1 defeat to Beninoise side Dadje FC in the second leg of their preliminary round tie on Saturday. The two teams had drawn 1-1 in the first leg, held in Ikenne last weekend. With a 3-2 aggregate score, Dadje FC advanced to the first round.
El-Kanemi Warriors will now focus on the Nigeria Premier Football League and the President Federation Cup. Meanwhile, Nigeria’s other representative in the CAF Confederation Cup, Enyimba, received a bye into the first round and aims to become the first Nigerian club to win the competition.
