Enyimba FC has departed Nigeria for their crucial CAF Confederation Cup final Group D fixture against Zamalek of Egypt. The team left the country through Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja, with their arrival in Cairo expected on Friday.
The match will take place on Sunday, January 19, at the Cairo International Stadium. Enyimba has expressed confidence in their ability to perform well, stating on X: “Everything to fight for in Cairo.”
Currently, Enyimba occupies third place in the group with five points, while Zamalek and Al-Masry hold the top two spots. Mozambican side Black Bulls sits at the bottom of the table. The People’s Elephant will aim to secure a vital result in Cairo to boost their hopes of advancing in the competition.
