Federal Government Lifts Suspension on Arik Air Operations

The Federal Government has officially lifted the suspension on Arik Air’s operations, allowing the airline to resume its services. The suspension had been in place due to a dispute between Atlas Petroleum and Arik Air.

In a statement posted on X, Michael Achimugu, the Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection at the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), confirmed that the conflict has been resolved.

“The Honourable Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo SAN, and the DG of NCAA, Capt. Chris Najomo, have successfully resolved the impasse between Arik Air and Atlas Petroleum. By this resolution, Arik Air will begin operations today,” the statement read.

With this development, Arik Air passengers are now able to check-in for their scheduled flights, marking the end of the disruption caused by the suspension.
