Nollywood actor and producer, Femi Adebayo’s film *Jagun Jagun* has secured seven nominations at the 2024 Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA). The nominations were revealed during an event held in Lagos on Wednesday, attended by members of the AMAA jury, the screening college, and the Africa Film Academy (AFA) board.
The historical epic *Jagun Jagun* was nominated in major categories, including Best Actor in a Supporting Role, Achievement in Production Design, Achievement in Costume Design, Achievement in Makeup, Achievement in Visual Effects, the Ousmane Sembene Award for Best Film in an African Language, and the NFVCB Award for Best Nigerian Film.
An excited Femi Adebayo took to Instagram to share the news, expressing gratitude to his team and fans: “Hey guys, we have done it again! Delighted to announce that *Jagun Jagun* clinched seven nominations at the 2024 AMAA Awards.”
The event saw notable personalities in attendance, including Shaibu Husseini, Director General of the National Film and Video Censors Board (NFVCB), alongside George and Chinyere Anyiam-Osigwe, Kennedy Anyiam-Osigwe, Steve Ayorinde, Francis Onwochei, and Segun Arinze, among others.
The 20th edition of the Africa Movie Academy Awards promises to be an exciting showcase of African filmmaking excellence.
