Finidi George Vows to Lead Super Eagles with Pride, Unveiled as Head Coach

In a momentous unveiling ceremony held in Abuja on Monday, Super Eagles head coach Finidi George expressed his commitment to fulfilling his duties and assembling a team that will bring pride to Nigerians nationwide.

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) introduced Finidi, alongside his coaching staff, to a distinguished audience that included Minister of Sports John Enoh, NFF President Ibrahim Gusau, and senior officials from both the sports ministry and the NFF.

In a video shared on the NFF’s YouTube channel, the 53-year-old coach conveyed his gratitude for the opportunity to lead the Super Eagles, emphasizing the significant responsibility that comes with the role.

“This is a great opportunity given to me to manage the Super Eagles. It is not an easy job for anybody but I’m so happy. For me, it’s just to start working immediately, which I’ve been doing even before signing this contract,” Finidi remarked.

He continued, “I just want to say a big thank you for this great opportunity, and I believe the God that has brought me here will make everything perfect. My job is to make Nigerians and the football federation proud, and I believe I will not let anybody down and make sure we get the job done.”
