Flamingos head coach, Bankole Olowookere, has admitted that his team faces high expectations as they prepare for the 2024 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup. The Nigerian girls are currently in Santo Domingo, gearing up for the tournament.

In a recent friendly match, the Flamingos were held to a 1-1 draw by Mexico, providing a glimpse of their form ahead of the competition. The team had an impressive outing in the last edition of the World Cup, finishing third in India.

Olowookere is well aware of the pressure on his squad to perform and expressed his commitment to preparing them for the challenges ahead.
