Popular food critic Opeyemi Famakin has accused entertainment mogul, Cubana Chiefpriest, of threatening his life following a review of Chiefpriest’s restaurant in Imo State. Famakin had visited the restaurant on September 11, 2024, and praised its ambiance but criticized the pastries for being pre-made and microwaved.
While Cubana Chiefpriest initially responded politely in the comment section, thanking Famakin for his visit, the situation escalated on September 12. Famakin claimed that Chiefpriest sent him threatening messages in response to the review. In a screenshot shared by Famakin, Chiefpriest allegedly wrote, “Karma is real, you must pay for whatever you sow in life. I don’t fight lowlifes, I leave them to karma. The business you did your wicked review for is owned by a 6-year-old.”
Famakin posted the conversation on social media, urging the public to hold Chiefpriest accountable if anything happens to him. He expressed concern over the tone of the messages, stating, “I know a threat when I see one. I guess it’s time to leave Imo State ASAP. If anything happens to me while I am here, well, you know who to hold.”
The incident has sparked public interest, with many awaiting further developments.
