Free Seeds Program Extension Likely Due to High Demand

The wife of the governor of Anambra State, Mrs. Nonye Soludo, founder of Healthy Living with Nonye Soludo, has announced the potential extension of her free seeds program beyond the current July 31st deadline.

Speaking in Awka, Mrs. Soludo highlighted the growing interest in the program and the need to extend the deadline to accommodate more participants. Originally aimed at 500 beneficiaries, the target is being reassessed to meet the increasing demand.

Mrs. Soludo described the program’s outcome as substantial, indicating that the heightened interest reflects a growing awareness of the importance of organic food sufficiency. She emphasized rewarding those who have diligently cultivated their gardens and submitted proof of their efforts, encouraging wider participation to boost agricultural transformation in the state.

Looking ahead, Mrs. Soludo envisioned homes across Anambra having their own gardens, promoting food sufficiency and healthier dietary choices. She urged beneficiaries to adhere to the organic methods for planting and breeding as stipulated by the program guidelines.
