Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo, had a packed schedule filled with events showcasing community-driven initiatives, cultural celebrations, and social gatherings.
The day began in Agbata village, Ndiowu, where Governor Soludo attended the commissioning of a Public-Private-Community Partnership (PPCP) project. The initiative, spearheaded by Engr. Chibueze Ike, involved the donation and installation of 400 solar-powered streetlights. Praising the effort, Soludo described it as a testament to the power of community ownership in driving development.
Later, the governor attended a memorial service in Oko to honor the life of Mrs. Esther Okafor, the late matriarch of the Okafor family.
In Isuofia, Soludo joined his community for the Ofala Festival of HRH Igwe Col. C.A.O. Muoghalu (Rtd.), the Isu II of Isuofia. The event, which celebrated the monarch’s leadership, showcased the vibrant cultural heritage of the town.
The governor also visited Ichida in Anaocha Local Government Area, where he commissioned a 50-bed hospital. The facility, built by the community, was equipped by the government and will be managed by the Catholic Church under the state’s PPCP framework.
The day ended in Uli, where Soludo celebrated the wedding of Princess Daniella Orjiakor, daughter of Dr. ABC Orjiakor, to Mr. Tsaloye Omatseye. Offering his best wishes to the couple, Soludo lauded the event as a joyful culmination to a day filled with meaningful engagements.
Governor Soludo expressed pride in Anambra’s progress and reiterated his commitment to fostering partnerships that drive development across the state.
