Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo, has called for intensified collective efforts to combat insecurity following the tragic death of former Onitsha North Constituency One lawmaker, Hon. Justice Azuka.
Speaking during an emotional burial mass held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Onitsha, Governor Soludo joined hundreds of mourners, including family members, political associates, and constituents, to pay their last respects. The late legislator was kidnapped and killed under distressing circumstances that have sent shockwaves across the state.
Addressing the gathering, Governor Soludo condemned the rising wave of violence, emphasizing the need for a unified approach to safeguarding communities. He urged all stakeholders to work together in making Anambra a secure and prosperous state.
The solemn ceremony was attended by key political figures, including the Speaker of the Anambra State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Somtochukwu Udeze, members of the eighth Assembly, former Governor Peter Obi, Senator Victor Umeh, Senator Tony Nwoye, and Rt. Hon. Paschal Agbodike, alongside members of the State Executive Council.
