Governor Soludo Orders Mandatory Opening of Markets on Mondays, Warns of Sanctions

Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo, has mandated that all markets across the state must open for business on Mondays, warning that non-compliance will result in the sealing of shops.

During an inspection tour of various markets, the Governor noted a significant number of shops remained closed, a situation he described as detrimental to the economic well-being of the state and its citizens.

Governor Soludo emphasized that the government will bolster security in markets to ensure a safe environment for traders. He also vowed to personally monitor the situation by visiting markets every Monday to enforce the directive.
