Governor Soludo Reaffirms Commitment to Enhancing Security and Ensuring Credible Local Elections in Anambra State

Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo, has reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring the security of life and property in the state. This declaration followed a town hall meeting at the International Convention Centre in Awka, which involved Traditional Rulers, Presidents-General, Transition Committee Chairmen, and Service Commanders.

Governor Soludo highlighted that discussions during the closed-door meeting focused on security issues and the upcoming local government elections. He noted that while Anambra is significantly safer, the conversation aimed to address what he described as “systemic insecurity” and explore ways his administration can continue to enhance security.

The Governor emphasized that this meeting is part of ongoing interactive sessions with community leaders to keep them informed and engaged, particularly in ensuring a credible local government election. He assured that his administration would persist in its efforts to improve the security situation in the state.

The meeting was attended by key figures, including the Deputy Governor, Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim, and the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Somtochukwu Udeze.
