Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo, has signed six new bills into law, reinforcing his administration’s legislative agenda aimed at improving various sectors of the state.
The signing ceremony took place at the Governor’s Lodge in Amawbia, with the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Somtochukwu Udeze, and other officials in attendance.
The newly signed laws include the Anambra State Development and Investment Corporation Law, 2025; Anambra State Electricity Law, 2025; and the Anambra State Homeland Security (Amendment) Law, 2025. Others are the Anambra State Herbal Practice Law, 2024; Anambra State Indigenous Traditional Medicine Practices Law, 2025; and the Anambra State Mission Schools of Nursing and Midwifery (Amendment No. 2) Law, 2025.
Governor Soludo praised the State House of Assembly for its collaboration with the executive arm in enacting laws that benefit the people of Anambra. He called for continued partnership to drive further development in the state.
