Governor Chukwuma Soludo has appealed to Ndi Anambra in the diaspora to bring their wealth home to support his administration’s development efforts.
The Governor made this call during the commissioning of the New Berries Power Park Tourism Center in Okpuno, Awka South Local Government Area. Represented by his deputy, Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim, he commended the park’s owner, Mr. Ikenna Abanonu, for investing in Anambra and creating job opportunities for the state’s youth.
Governor Soludo reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to enhancing security and addressing the needs of residents, emphasizing the collective responsibility of Ndi Anambra in building the state.
Speaking at the event, Commissioner for Culture, Entertainment, and Tourism, Comrade Don Onyenji, and Awka South Mayor, Prince Chinedu Okafor, urged citizens to stop tarnishing the state’s image and instead invest and promote a positive narrative about Anambra.
Mr. Abanonu, the park’s owner, revealed that his project was a gesture to support the state’s development and urged others to emulate such efforts, stressing that Anambra is home to all its indigenes.
