Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo of Anambra State has expressed his delight in hosting over 170 Bishops of the Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion, and their wives at a special retreat marking the commencement of the church’s 2025 calendar.
The retreat, taking place in Anambra, has brought together the entire hierarchy of Anglican Bishops from across Nigeria, making the state the focal point of the church’s activities.
In his message, Governor Soludo described the event as a remarkable opportunity for spiritual reflection and unity. He urged the Bishops to use the occasion to introspect on the well-being of their congregations and reaffirm their commitment to the transformational power of the gospel.
“Let this retreat serve as a moment to prioritize the gospel’s mission of transformation over transactional interests. May it bring blessings to the church and our nation,” the governor said.
He further emphasized his pride in Anambra’s selection as the host location, describing it as a significant honor and a testament to the state’s status as a hub of spiritual and national significance.
Governor Soludo concluded by wishing the Bishops a fruitful retreat and reaffirmed his hope for continued progress and blessings for Anambra and Nigeria.
