Governor Soludo’s Wife Urges Youths to Harness Internet for Self-Development in Dunukofia

Mrs. Nonye Soludo, wife of the Anambra State Governor, has highlighted the vast positive opportunities available to youths on the internet for self-development and career advancement. Speaking during an empowerment program organized by the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) youth leadership in Dunukofia Local Government Area, held at the council’s headquarters in Ukpo, Mrs. Soludo emphasized the potential of the internet as a tool for growth and innovation.

Contrary to common misconceptions, she noted that the internet offers numerous resources for young people to develop valuable skills and pursue significant career breakthroughs. She encouraged the youths, particularly schoolchildren, to focus on utilizing the internet for educational and professional growth rather than for unproductive activities.

As the special guest of honor, Mrs. Soludo urged the attendees to pursue their dreams with determination and to avoid distractions that could derail their ambitions. She specifically advised against drug use, cultism, and low self-esteem, advocating for a focused and zealous approach to achieving their goals.

Mrs. Soludo also promoted the Healthy Living Garden Competition, a school tournament organized by her non-governmental organization, the Healthy Living with Nonye Soludo Initiative. She encouraged students to take up gardening as a beneficial and potentially lucrative hobby.

Mr. Ifeanyi Ibebugwu, the convener of the event and youth leader of Dunukofia Local Government Area, explained that the program aimed to empower youths, teach the principles of healthy living, provide governance education, and distribute educational materials. He praised Mrs. Soludo for her efforts to promote health awareness through her initiative and reaffirmed the youths’ support for the current administration’s vision to rebuild Anambra State.

Dr. Tochukwu Obiadi, the Anambra State Youth Leader of APGA, echoed these sentiments, emphasizing that the event reflected the human capital development focus of Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s administration. He highlighted the long-term benefits of such initiatives and praised APGA for its people-first governance ideology, commending the youths of Dunukofia for their forward-thinking approach to human capital development.
