The Founder of Grande Oakbridge Montessori School, Lekki, Lagos, Royeke Obalade, has stressed the need for an innovative curriculum to improve students’ performance both locally and internationally.
Speaking ahead of the school’s 20th anniversary, Obalade highlighted that a commitment to excellence and a forward-thinking curriculum have enabled the institution to uphold high academic standards that are globally competitive.
She noted that many of the school’s students have gained admission into top secondary schools and universities in Nigeria and abroad due to the quality of education offered.
As part of the anniversary celebrations, the school has lined up activities such as an inter-house sports competition, an inter-primary school mathematics contest, a community service initiative, and a visit to a motherless babies’ home.
Obalade reiterated the school’s dedication to providing world-class education, empowering students to maximize their potential.
Other events include an alumni and parents’ gathering, a 20th-anniversary graduation ceremony scheduled for July 17, 2025, and a grand finale on September 27, 2025.
Reflecting on the school’s growth, Obalade stated that increasing enrollment led to the establishment of a permanent four-storey facility in Osapa-Lekki in 2018.
“Our impact on the educational pursuits of the Agungi and Lekki communities is significant. Our students have excelled in ICT, science, mathematics, creative arts, and spelling bee competitions,” she said.
