An unnamed senior executive at the bank clarified exclusively to DAILY POST that the recent problems with the website were due to connectivity issues, not a hacking incident.
The denial follows reports alleging that hackers had compromised the bank’s website and intercepted customer data in a phishing operation. The GTBank source emphasized that there is no evidence of hacking, and the bank is addressing the connectivity issues.
