IG Aguowo Health and Academic Foundation to Open Applications for 2024 Scholarship Programme

The IG Aguowo Health and Academic Foundation has announced that applications for its 2024 scholarship programme will open next month, aiming to support indigent but talented students across Nigeria. The announcement was made during a press conference in Awka.

Students are invited to visit [www.igahaf.org](http://www.igahaf.org) between June 3 and 28, 2024, to complete the online application form. The scholarship is available to students in both Junior and Senior Secondary Schools, as well as tertiary institutions.

Funded by philanthropist Ignatius Aguowo, the IG Aguowo Health and Academic Foundation is dedicated to improving education and well-being for the less privileged. The foundation seeks to empower talented students in need of financial assistance through scholarships and educational support.

Executive Secretary Peace Chukwu stated that the scholarship opportunity is open to students from all 36 states of Nigeria and Abuja who demonstrate exceptional academic performance but require financial aid. She encouraged students in public, mission, and private schools with low tuition fees to apply.

Applicants are advised to follow the guidelines provided on the application website. The foundation will review all applications and shortlist candidates who meet the criteria for the scholarship examination.

For secondary school students, the examination will cover English Language, Mathematics, and Igbo Language. Tertiary students will be tested on the use of English, Igbo language, and critical thinking skills. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to take the examination in Awka, Anambra State, with the specific venue to be communicated later.

Successful candidates will receive fully-funded scholarships from their current academic level through their tertiary education. The foundation currently supports over 350 beneficiaries and aims to add 200 more this year, bringing the total to 550 by the end of 2024.
