Governor Charles Soludo yesterday hosted a delegation of Ihiala stakeholders, led by Dr. ABC Orjiako, at the Government House. The group conveyed their appreciation to the state administration for its steadfast efforts to bolster security along the Ihiala corridor.
Orjiako expressed heartfelt thanks on behalf of the community, emphasizing the difference made by recent deployments of patrol vehicles and surveillance equipment. “Thank you for your administration’s ongoing commitment to security,” he told the governor, noting the sacrifices of the state’s security agencies in safeguarding residents.
In response, Governor Soludo acknowledged the recognition and reiterated his administration’s pledge to maintain robust support for law enforcement. He outlined plans to continue investing in infrastructure, logistical resources, and strategic partnerships designed to protect every community.
Soludo also stressed that government action alone cannot ensure lasting peace. “We can light the torch, but only the people can keep it burning,” he said, urging citizens to take active ownership of their environment. He called on residents to remain vigilant, report suspicious activities promptly, and embrace the principle that “security is a shared responsibility.”
The governor concluded with optimism for the state’s future stability, declaring, “When citizens take ownership of their land, insecurity begins to lose its grip. May Anambra continue to win!”
