A grassroots mobiliser and former secretary of APGA in Onitsha South Local Government Area, Barr. Noel Udeoji PhD., earlier today in his Fegge ward 1 re-entered the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) Party.
The event which attracted APGA bigwigs from within and outside Onitsha was held earlier today at the Agulu Town Hall, Fegge, Onitsha South Local Government Area.
Speaking, Dr Udeoji informed that when he was the secretary of APGA in Onitsha South LGA, that the current Vice Chairman of APGA, Anambra North, Chief Azubike Uzoechina Ojinnaka was the secretary of APGA in Onitsha North and that APGA has always been his home.

” I’m not joining APGA not just that the Governor is working because as Ndi APGA, it’s our duty to tell the people that the governor is working. Moreso, now that the governor is working, ours is just to continue talking about the great works of the governor in the state. Anywhere you see me, call me ‘ezigbo onye APGA’.
Furthermore, he said, ” I’m here. I’m not going anywhere. I’m here to assist the party to grow more bigger and bigger and bigger.”
On their parts, the Chairman of APGA in Anambra State, Barr Ifeatu Obi-Okoye represented by the APGA Vice Chairman, Anambra North, Chief Azubike Uzoechina Ojinnaka and the Onitsha South APGA party Chairman, Hon. Uche Umeh praised Barr Udeoji for his bold decision to rejoin the party.
They both stated that Chief Udeoji is a critical stakeholder in Onitsha South that no one can ignore and charged him to join in the re-building the party in the municipality and beyond.
Said Ojinnaka, ” I’m glad you have rejoined us. Now that you have joined us, all your rights and privileges shall be restored back to you. We’ve been together and I was happy when you were made secretary of Fegge landlords association, I called and told you that I would come and beg you to rejoin us’
A former three term member of Anambra State House of Assembly and present Commissioner for Special Duties, Rt. Hon. Barr Beverly Nkemdiche Ikpeazu commended Dr Udeoji for coming back to ‘his house’.
” Although you never really left. It’s painful that APGA is not in the state house for Onitsha South. But, we can rewrite the wrongs. Soludo has done for Fegge what no one has ever done for us. The projects are there and that Governor Soludo has already done his campaign with all the projects he’s doing in Onitsha.
Transition Committee Chairman of Onitsha South LGA, Hon. Emeka Orji (Oba Armani) noted that he was happy because so many people that left APGA before he became chairman are now coming back into the party.
” We are winning. It was bad before but I thank God that we are re-strategising. You are welcome back home. All these are happening today and I’m happy.”
Earlier in his remarks, the ward chairman of APGA Fegge ward 1, Hon. Chibueze Obinwune confirmed that Barr Noel Udeoji was their man.
Said he, ” Noel is our man, but we don’t know what happened and he later left then. He was the former secretary of APGA in Onitsha South. Today, he’s rejoining the party because of the numerous good works of our performing Governor, Prof Chukwuma Soludo.”
He appealed to him saying, ‘ now that you have rejoined the party, please, remain with the party always and help work for the winning of the second term bid of the governor, Prof Soludo.
Highlights of the event included official decoration of Dr Noel Udeoji and Wife with APGA cloth alongside Chief Sylvanus Ohaemesi, former TC Chairman, Onitsha South LGA and Chief Sylvester Okafor, Siwo., musical interlude and refreshment.
