Anambra State Commissioner for Power and Water Resources, Engr. Julius Chukwuemeka has revealed that the state would be taking power to the people of the state who presently do not have access to power and others who are not properly served next year.
Engineer Chukwuemeka was speaking moments ago after he and his team from the ministry of power and water resources defended their 2025 budget at the Anambra state house of Assembly complex in Awka.
The commissioner informed that his ministry oversees issues around power, water and fire services and stated that government had made plans to take power to the unserved and underserved people in the state.
He pointed out that in line with the megacity vision of Mr Governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo and the current arrangements which were in top gear for the development of Awka city 2.0 and Onitsha mixed use industrial city, that the ministry have plans to take power to those places so that investors will have the power needed to power their projects and investments.
Chukwuemeka informed that communities who are get to be served would be connected and energized once the 2025 budget was passed by the House stressing that the draft estimate covered issues relating to how anyone not covered in the state would be attended to.
