The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has commenced the accreditation process for Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres ahead of the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
Dr. Fabian Benjamin, JAMB’s Public Communication Adviser, announced the development in a statement on Sunday, describing the accreditation exercise as a vital step in preparation for the annual examination.
According to the statement, new CBT centres interested in participating in the 2025 UTME are advised to review the detailed requirements available on the JAMB website.
“All new Computer-Based Test centres intending to participate in the 2025 UTME should visit [JAMB’s official website](https://www.jamb.gov.ng/Pdfs/CBT_centre_requirements.pdf) to familiarize themselves with the requirements for establishing a JAMB-approved CBT centre,” the statement read.
**Steps for New Centres:**
– Interested centres must notify JAMB in writing through their respective Zonal Directors or State Coordinators.
– JAMB’s Zonal and State Offices will create accounts for new centres on the Centre Management System (CMS) Portal to facilitate their registration.
– Centres must conduct a mandatory Autobot/Autotest, the results of which will determine their qualification for the physical accreditation visit by JAMB.
**Requirements for Existing Centres:**
Centres that successfully participated in the 2024 UTME must register their interest on the CMS Portal.
JAMB emphasized that the physical accreditation exercise would begin in December 2024. Only centres that meet the Board’s standards during the Autobot/Autotest will be notified and considered for the 2025 UTME registration and examination.
The Board reiterated that centres failing to meet the stipulated requirements will be excluded from the accreditation process.
This annual exercise aims to ensure that only reliable and fully compliant centres are included in the UTME process, maintaining the integrity of the examination.
