JAMB Releases 2024 UTME Results; Over 1.94 Million Candidates Registered

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially announced the release of the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) results. According to reports from DAILY POST, more than 1.94 million candidates registered and sat for the examination across the country.

The Registrar of JAMB, Prof Ishaq Oloyede, disclosed these figures during the announcement of the results in Bwari, Abuja, on Monday. He revealed that a total of 1,989,668 candidates registered for the examination, representing a significant increase of 24.7 per cent compared to the figure recorded in 2023.

Out of the total registered candidates, 1,904,189 were present and verified, while 2,899 candidates were present but unverified. Additionally, 80,810 candidates were absent from the examination.

The UTME was conducted in 118 towns and over 700 centres across the country, providing candidates with widespread access to the examination. With the release of the results, candidates can now access their scores and proceed with their tertiary education aspirations.
