JAMB Reschedules 2024 UTME for 24,535 Candidates Due to Non-Compliance at Exam Centres

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the rescheduling of its 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) for 24,535 candidates. This decision was made due to significant non-compliance with JAMB’s standards at the centres where these candidates were originally scheduled to take their exams.

In an official statement released on Sunday, JAMB spokesman Dr. Fabian Benjamin explained that affected candidates should print their supplementary Examination Notification Slips from Tuesday, June 4, 2024, to find out their new examination centres.

“The Board has painstakingly analysed the process and conduct of the 2024 UTME in some centres where there are strong proofs of substantial non-compliance with the Board’s standards,” Dr. Benjamin stated. “Consequently, 24,535 candidates have been rescheduled to retake the examination in their chosen Examination Towns on Saturday, June 22, 2024.”

Additionally, JAMB has released 3,921 previously withheld results. Candidates can check their status by sending “RESULT” to 55019 or 66019 from Saturday, June 1, 2024. Those whose results have been cleared will receive their scores, while those rescheduled will be informed of their new exam dates.

This latest release brings the total number of results released to 1,883,350. The rescheduled examination on June 22, 2024, provides affected candidates with adequate time to prepare.
