JDM Global Foundation Incorporated has provided scholarships to disadvantaged pupils from ten primary schools in Nnewi South and Aguata Local Government Areas, as part of its mission to promote access to quality education. Additionally, the Foundation donated essential learning materials, including exercise books and writing tools, to the schools.
Speaking at the event, the Head of the Foundation, Chief Mrs. Jennifer Madubuko, represented by Venerable Okechukwu Ifionu, stressed the importance of education as a fundamental tool for overcoming poverty. She emphasized that every child, regardless of their background, deserves the opportunity to receive quality education, and bright students who demonstrate a passion for learning should be supported.
The traditional ruler of Utuh community, Igwe Peter Ilomuanya, expressed gratitude for the Foundation’s efforts in giving back to the community, highlighting the vital role of young people in shaping the future of society. Prince Okonna Mbanefo, the Palace Secretary, also joined in the appreciation.
In attendance were the Deputy Mayor of Nnewi South Council Area, Mrs. Ireka Nneka, and Reverend Father Jude Onwuasor, both of whom applauded the Foundation’s generosity. They noted that the scholarship initiative would inspire students to strive for greater academic success.
The event also featured a vibrant debate competition, dance performances, and other displays by the students, culminating in the empowerment of an individual with a motorcycle. The Foundation’s contributions were hailed as a significant motivation for academic excellence in the region.
