Manchester City forward Julian Alvarez has addressed the retirement plans of Inter Miami forward Lionel Messi as the Copa America approaches.
Messi has been in exceptional form since the beginning of the new Major League Soccer (MLS) season, scoring 10 goals and providing nine assists in just 10 league games for Inter Miami.
As Messi prepares to represent Argentina in the upcoming Copa America, questions about the future of the eight-time Ballon d’Or winner with the national team have emerged. When asked about Messi’s plans, Alvarez responded (via Mundo Albiceleste): “Let’s hope so. He will decide until when but hopefully, he will. We want him to be there.”
