Veteran Nollywood actor Kanayo O. Kanayo has shared his perspective on why many women remain unmarried in their 30s, attributing it to decisions made in their younger years.
In a recent interview with *News Central*, Kanayo opined that some women spend their 20s dating wealthy, often married older men, while dismissing younger suitors who could have been potential husbands.
He explained:
> “Some girls start dating rich, older men during their university years at 18, 19, or 20. These men provide them with luxurious gifts like cars and houses, setting a high standard for their relationships. As a result, they reject younger prospective husbands. By the time they reach 30 or beyond, they find themselves unmarried and struggling to attract suitable partners.”
The actor suggested that this pattern often leads women into a “state of emergency” in their early 30s, where marriage becomes a prayer point rather than a choice. He added that some women continue to see themselves as having fun, even as their chances of marriage dwindle with age.
Kanayo’s comments have sparked conversations about societal expectations and the choices individuals make in their pursuit of relationships and stability.
