The Labour Party (LP) has commenced the mobilisation of youths across Nigeria in preparation for the 2027 general elections. This was revealed in a statement issued on Wednesday by the party’s National Youth Leader, Prince Kennedy Ahanotu.
As part of the strategy, the party has appointed three special assistants to spearhead mobilisation efforts in their respective regions. They include Ahmad Yau for the North-East, Terumbur Benjamin for the North-Central, and Nworu Sunrise for the South-East.
“This strategic move aims to bolster the party’s youth wing and enhance its mobilisation efforts nationwide, particularly in preparation for the 2027 general elections,” Ahanotu said. “We are committed to creating a vibrant and inclusive youth wing that reflects the diversity and energy of our great nation.”
The appointees were selected for their outstanding contributions to party development and advocacy for inclusivity. They will work closely with state youth leaders to implement comprehensive mobilisation activities and are expected to submit quarterly progress reports to the office of the National Youth Leader.
