The Lagos State Government’s highly anticipated 72-hour shopping festival begins today at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, Lagos.
Known as the Lagos State Shopping Festival, the event is organized by the Lagos Ministry of Tourism, Arts, and Culture in collaboration with Chain Reaction Ltd. It promises an immersive experience for shoppers and visitors.
Special Adviser to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Tourism, Arts, and Culture, Mr. Idris Aregbe, highlighted the festival’s unique features in a statement on Sunday.
“The Lagos Shopping Festival will showcase over 500 vendors, offering a vibrant mix of local artisans and internationally-renowned brands. Products on display will include fashion, electronics, beauty items, home decor, gourmet food, and much more,” Aregbe said.
He explained that the festival aims to promote Lagos’ fashion and retail sectors, highlighting the artistry and craftsmanship of local artisans while connecting small businesses and established brands to global markets.
Beyond shopping, the event promises an exciting atmosphere with live performances, food stalls, and entertainment.
“The Lagos Shopping Festival is not just a shopping event; it’s a celebration of Lagos State’s vibrant culture, creativity, and commerce,” Aregbe added.
The festival is expected to attract both locals and tourists, making it a key platform for showcasing the state’s cultural and economic dynamism.
