Malawian referee Godfrey Philip Nkhakananga has been appointed to officiate Friday’s 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier between Nigeria’s Super Eagles and Libya’s Mediterranean Knights. The crucial Matchday three encounter will be held at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo, with kickoff set for 5 p.m.
Assisting Nkhakananga will be Clemence Kanduku and Joseph Nyauti, both from Malawi, who will serve as assistant referees. Keabetswe Dintwa from Botswana will take on the role of fourth official.
The match commissioner, Munkaila Nassam Adam from Ghana, and referee assessor, Issaka Boubacar from Niger, will also be present to ensure the smooth running of the game. Nigeria’s Mayowa Akingbemisilu will manage broadcast operations as the venue manager.
This highly anticipated clash is critical for both teams as they vie for qualification to the 2025 AFCON tournament in Morocco.
