A man, Shehu Usman, has taken legal action against his niece, Hauwa’u Muhammad, and sister-in-law, Jamila Kasim, at a Shari’a court in Magajin Gari, Kaduna State, accusing them of intimidating his wife.
Usman, a resident of Ungwan Shanu, filed the charges of intent to insult, intimidation, and trespass after alleging that the two women entered his wife’s room, insulted her, and threatened to assault her. He appealed to the court to grant him justice.
The defendants, both married women, pleaded not guilty to the charges.
Presiding Judge Malam Anas Khalifa granted them bail under the condition that they provide a community leader as surety. The judge further ordered Usman to present witnesses at the next hearing scheduled for October 16 to continue the prosecution of the case.
