Manchester United have reportedly reached out to Napoli regarding a potential January move for Nigeria striker Victor Osimhen, currently on loan at Galatasaray. The Red Devils have contacted the striker’s representatives, with personal terms not expected to be an issue, according to transfer expert Sacha Tavolieri.
Osimhen, who has impressed at Galatasaray with 12 goals and five assists in 15 appearances this season, could be valued at €75 million. However, United may need to pay an additional fee to terminate his loan early with the Turkish club. Despite interest from several European clubs, Osimhen has expressed his commitment to staying at Galatasaray until the end of the season.
Former Galatasaray coach Hamza Hamzaoğlu has raised doubts about the club’s ability to sign Osimhen permanently, citing financial constraints. Meanwhile, new Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has identified the 25-year-old as a key target to solve their attacking issues.
Osimhen’s release clause is set at €90 million, though it may drop to €80 million at the end of the season, with Napoli reportedly open to a January move for €75 million. Other clubs, including Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus, are also monitoring the situation.
