Michael Olise Explains Decision to Join Bayern Munich Over Premier League Clubs

New Bayern Munich signing Michael Olise has explained his decision to move abroad, despite interest from Premier League clubs. Olise completed a £60 million transfer from Crystal Palace to Bayern on Sunday.

Prior to his move, the winger was heavily linked with Chelsea and Manchester United. Last summer, Chelsea appeared close to securing Olise’s signature, but he chose to extend his contract with Crystal Palace instead.

In a statement, Olise shared his excitement about joining the German champions. “The talks with FC Bayern were very positive, and I’m very happy to now be playing for such a big club,” said Olise, who has signed a five-year contract with Bayern.

“It’s a great challenge, and that’s exactly what I was looking for. I want to prove myself at this level and play my part in ensuring that we win as many titles as possible with our team in the coming years,” he added.
