An Nnewi born businessman and philanthropist, Comrade Peter Nwosu last week during the commissioning ceremony of the permanent site of Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital, Nnewi presented the hospital with a Toyota Sienna Bus for the emergency unit of the hospital.
Nwosu, while making the presentation to the special guest of honour at the occasion and Minister of Health in Nigeria, Prof. Ali Pate thanked the President of Nigeria, Ahmed Bola Tinubu for his policies on health that saw the speedy completion of the school’s permanent site.
He commended the CMD of the college, Prof. Joseph Ugbaja for his sterling leadership of the hospital and pointed out that Nnewi Community is happy to welcome the minister and other dignitaries that graced the occasion and promised that the community will do everything necessary in supporting the staff and management of the college.
In response, Prof Ugbaja, Chief Medical Director of the college thanked Hon. Nwosu for his continued support to the school and promised to put the donated vehicle to maximum use.
Dignitaries like Dr Onyekachukwu Ibezim, Anambra State Deputy Governor, Amb. Bianca Ojukwu, Chris Udechukwu, Commissioner for Industry among others graced the occasion.
