Ndi Anaocha Celebrates New TC Chairman, Ibekwe, with Grand Welcome

Ndi Anaocha celebrated the appointment of their new Transition Committee Chairman, Comrade Romanus Ibekwe, with a triumphant and joyous welcome, expressing gratitude to Governor Chukwuma Soludo for his decision.

Local government staff were among those who warmly received Comrade Ibekwe. Addressing the crowd, Comrade Ibekwe promised to implement state government policies at the local level, aiming for a livable and prosperous homeland through inclusive governance.

A major stakeholder in Anaocha, Comrade Ibekwe pledged to address local issues and prioritize workers’ welfare to enhance productivity and efficiency. He thanked stakeholders for their support and called for continued cooperation to achieve Governor Soludo’s progressive policies.

Comrade Ibekwe also vowed to reconcile aggrieved APGA members, aiming to unite the party for the benefit of Ndi Anambra.

In a goodwill message, Mr. Ikeobi Ejiofor, Managing Director of the Anambra State Urban Water Assets Holding Corporation, commended the administration’s local government system and encouraged Comrade Ibekwe to collaborate with stakeholders to realize Governor Soludo’s Public-Private Community Partnership model. He advised setting up development programs to empower youths and women, improve children’s welfare, and enhance social amenities and security.

Sir Anthony Ugorji, APGA Chairman in Anaocha LGA, described Comrade Ibekwe as a servant leader with the zeal to meet expectations. He urged Ibekwe to be a good listener and inclusive in implementing developmental policies.

Mrs. Ego Okeke, Head of Local Government Administration in Anaocha LGA, praised the appointment of Comrade Ibekwe as fitting, given his experience in local government administration. She pledged full support to ensure his success.

Chief Gerald Ozoh, the outgoing Transition Committee Chairman, advised Comrade Ibekwe to embrace positive ideas and avoid distractions, focusing on development for Anaocha.

The event featured presentations to Comrade Ibekwe by the Ochendo Vanguard Association and other groups, marking his triumphant entry into the local government area.
