NECO Expands Global Presence with Accreditation of Schools in Niger Republic and Equatorial Guinea

The National Examination Council (NECO) announced on Saturday that it has accredited more foreign schools, enhancing its global reach. According to a statement from NECO’s acting Director of Public Relations, Azeez Sanni, the newly accredited schools are located in Niger Republic and Equatorial Guinea.

Sanni explained that NECO’s accreditation team visited these schools to assess their readiness for the Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (SSCE) and Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE). The evaluation included inspections of classrooms, laboratories, libraries, computer labs, workshops, examination halls, and sports facilities to ensure they meet the necessary standards for NECO examinations.

Following the comprehensive assessment, the schools were granted full accreditation for both SSCE and BECE, enabling candidates in these countries to participate in the exams.

With these recent additions, NECO examinations are now available in several countries, including Benin Republic, Togo, Cote d’Ivoire, Niger Republic, Equatorial Guinea, and Saudi Arabia.
