New Year: Anambra Governor’s Wife, Mrs Soludo Calls For Sober Reflection, Actions That Promote Peaceful Coexistence

Wife of the Governor of Anambra State, Mrs Nonye Soludo says the dawn of the new year calls for deeper retrospection and promotion of actions that breed peaceful coexistence.

Mrs Soludo who stated this in her New Year message to Ndị Anambra in Awka, said that as 2022 exits, the new year offers a fresh chance for everyone to look inwards and ask crucial questions about their relationships with themselves, God and humanity.

She stated that while 2023 presents a clean slate for a new beginning, better focus and smarter planning, events of the past year have taught humanity lessons about oneness, community, love and resilience.

Reminiscing on the recent flood disaster which displaced thousands of people from their homes in Anambra State, the previous security situation in the state and around the country, as well as other turbulences of 2022, the governor’s wife said it strengthens her that humanity was able to win most of those challenges, and prayed for a better 2023.

Mrs Soludo also enjoined everyone to live a healthy and well-planned life, and to be cautious of what they consume, as diseases and deaths from poor living habits are still very much prevalent.

She also urged women who are eligible to vote to come out during the forthcoming elections and cast their votes, reminding them it is important to make the right choice of who they want in power, as the future of both present and coming generations depends largely on their political choices.

While wishing ndi Anambra both at home and in tthe diaspora, a blessed new year, the governor’s wife prayed for lasting peace in the country and for a hitch-free general elections in Nigeria.
